Welcome Vermentino 2017

The 10th and 11th June 2017 will be held in the historic center of the 8th edition of "Benvenuto Vermentino". There will be two days of events, tastings, taste labs, typical products and conferences of Tuscany, Liguria, Sardinia and Corsica, which will be the protagonist of the Vermentino vine.
The atria and the halls of the ancient manor houses of the 18th century via Dante will host more than 100 producers of: Liguria, Tuscany, Sardinia and Corsica where wine is a specialty. In this setting of ancient splendor visitors will be able to taste the wines accompanied by typical local products around the villages.

Piazza Querciola will host spaces dedicated to the producers of extra virgin olive oil of the Territory and other typical local products such as honey, Castelnovese ham, Lardo di Colonnata, cheeses and salami of Val di Vara. In the square there will be also the restaurant of the Pro Loco, which will propose typical dishes of local tradition such as snacks, vegetable pies, stuffed muscles, marinated cod, mixed fry, ligurian rabbit and rice cake.

There is also a beautiful novelty this year, the historic train, a steam locomotive Gr. 740, which departs on Sunday 11 June from Livorno Central Station to Luni. From here you can access the historic center of Castelnuovo Magra with free shuttle bus.
